At today’s meeting between Tax Administration and MEF, the Tax Administration presented their current activities along with their strategic objectives for the period 2017-2020.
The meeting was attended by the Tax Administration management led by Miomir Mugosa, the Director and Ms Svetlana Vuksanovic, MEF President, with associates.
Tax Administration representatives informed the participants about the accomplished revenue collection for the last 8 months of 2016, the efforts made towards strengthening the tax collection discipline, the results of the pilot project aimed at establishing the call centre for ensuring tax returns and tax payments as well as about the strategic commitments of Tax Administration for the period 2017-2020 that include the capacity building with new organizational structure, the purchase of integrated information system, service provision to tax payers, tackling grey economy and effective tax debts management.
MEF President welcomed the efforts made by Tax Administration and the accomplished results especially focusing on the fact that all activities were realized following the principles of transparency and open communication with businesses and citizens.
It is agreed, in accordance with Cooperation Protocol between Tax Administration and MEF, that the future coordination meetings will be dedicated to discussing the possibilities of further lowering the administration and legislative burden with an aim to encourage the voluntary compliance with taxation laws and strengthen the tax collection discipline.
