A Branch Collective Agreement on the Amendments of Collective Agreement for Telecommunications Sector was signed today by the president of Trade Union for Telecommunications, Mr. Zeljko Buric, and Mrs. Svetlana Vuksanovic, the president of MEF.
Parties agreed to prolong the validity of Collective Agreement for Telecommunications Sector whereby it shall remain in force for three more years i.e. for the exact period of time it was in force once it was signed back in 2015 – until October 8, 2021.
Namely, Art.57 of the current SCA binds the parties to enter into negotiations to amend the present or conclude a new collective agreement within 5 months prior to the expiry of the period this collective agreement is concluded for, which they did.
As none of the parties received remarks or suggestions concerning the application of the SCA during its period of validity, they decided, once they consulted their members, that its application is prolonged for the period of three years whereby each of the parties can, if needed, make additional amendments to the SCA.
For reminder, Collective Agreement for Telecommunications Sector is binding for all workers and employers in the sector of telecommunications. This SCA specifies the elements of basic salary, wage compensation and other income as well as the scope of rights and responsibilities arising from employment and it represent a good starting base to be further elaborated and upgraded through individual collective agreements and employment contracts.
